Cassells Animal Hospital has served the veterinary needs of dogs and cats for over 40 years, offering experienced animal care in North Bay, Ontario. Founded by Dr. Trevor Bachelder on March 5th, 1975, our practice was moved to its current location in 1991. Dr. Stephanie Marquette started at Cassells Animal hospital in 2003 and became a partner in 2006. Dr. Bachelder retired in 2009 leaving ownership to Dr. Marquette and Dr. Campbell. Dr. Campbell retired in 2015, leaving Dr. Marquette with complete proprietorship.
Dr. Marquette was born in Stratford, Ontario and grew up on a mixed farming operation until the age of 13 when she moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta with her parents. She remained in Alberta until moving to Saskatchewan in order to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. Upon graduation in 2003 she moved to North Bay in order to be closer to her parents and to start working in private practice at Cassells Animal Hospital. In her leisure time she enjoys many outdoor activities; in the winter she plays hockey, snowshoes, and cross country skis, in the summer she likes to camp, boat and water ski. She has 2 children who keep her very busy, as well as 3 cats with the ingenious names of Big Fuzz, Lil’ Fuzz and Orange Fuzz.

Dr. Laferriere started at Cassells Animal Hospital in September 2016, where she has found a new and wonderful veterinary team to work with. Raised in a French family, Dr. Laferriere is fluent in both French and English and is ready to help you in either language.
